General information for the public
Master Plumbers SA recommends that three written quotes are obtained before undertaking significant work. Without a written quote, you have limited grounds to dispute costs of non emergency types of work.
Please note that it can be difficult for Plumbers to provide a firm price at the time of the quote, as further investigation on site is often required. Sometimes plumbing work requires additional time and/or equipment, depending on the complexity of the problem.
For example, unidentified water leaks are particularly difficult to locate and can take a considerable time to find.
Master Plumbers SA does not provide inspections or written reports related to technical issues with plumbing or in disputes between plumbers and their clients.
Please read our 'Choosing a Plumber' information here.
If you have had work undertaken by a Master Plumbers SA Member, and wish to lodge a complaint, we will attempt to mediate your issues, provided:
• The complainant has attempted to resolve the matter directly with the plumber before contacting Master Plumbers
• The person has sent the plumber a written complaint
• The complaintant has completed and returned the MPA Complaint Form to the MPA
If the work was NOT undertaken by a Member of Master Plumbers SA
If your plumbing work was not undertaken by a current Member of Master Plumbers SA, please note that we are not able to assist in resolving this matter.
