Drugs & alcohol Testing
The Hidden Impacts on Your Plumbing Business
A simple, yet critical step to creating a positive workplace culture around drug and alcohol, is implementing a drug and alcohol policy.
An effective policy should outline the position of the business on alcohol and drugs, set guidelines and processes for addressing alcohol or drug-related issues, identify the roles and responsibilities of everyone involved and offer support options.
Other ways to help keep workers safe can include
• Education and training
• Regular toolbox meetings and discussions
• Access to posters, fact sheets and other material
• Counselling and support
• Encouraging workers seek treatment
